CABLED WRISTLETTS

Materials

-One ball of aran weight yarn.

-Size US 8 needles

-Cable hook

-Large upholstery needle

Left Hand

Cast on 28 sts loosely.

Row 1: K2, P2, K2, P2, K4 , P2, K2, P2, K2, P2, K2, P2, K2

Row 2: P2, K2, P2, K2, P2, K2, P2, K2, P4 , K2, P2, K2, P2

Repeat rows 1 and 2 once more.

Cable Row: K2, P2, K2, P2, C4F , P2, K2, P2, K2, P2, K2, P2, K2

Followed by Row 2 from above. (correction)

* Work Rows 1 and 2 three times.

Work the Cable Row.

Work Row 2.*

Repeat from * to * until you have made 5 cable twists, ending on a Row 2.

For the last four rows, do a K1, P1 rib.

Cast off loosely, leaving a length of yarn for finishing later.

Right Hand

Cast on 28 sts loosely.

Row 1: K2, P2, K2, P2, K2, P2, K2, P2, K4 , P2, K2, P2, K2

Row 2: P2, K2, P2, K2, P4 , K2, P2, K2, P2, K2, P2, K2, P2

Repeat rows 1 and 2 once more.

Cable Row: K2, P2, K2, P2, K2, P2, K2, P2, C4F , P2, K2, P2, K2

* Work Rows 1 and 2 three times.

Work the Cable Row.

Work Row 2.*

Repeat from * to * until you have made 5 cable twists, ending on a Row 2.

For the last four rows, do a K1, P1 rib.

Cast off loosely, leaving a length of yarn for finishing later.

Finishing

Use the lengths of yarn hanging off either end of your pieces to sew your seams.

Fold your left hand piece over in half.   Using the upholstery needle, join the two top ends where the 1X1 ribbing is and use an invisible seam to sew the sides together for about 2 inches.  

Do the same to the other end.   This will leave a 1 1/2 inch hole for your thumb to peek out of.  

Tie your ends off securely and repeat with Right hand piece.
