classes that are free (the idea being that the class is free, but the materials cost a little money...)
knitting 101: You've never knit before, or else you need your memory jogged. In two hours, you will learn how to cast on and knit, and be on your way to finishing your first scarf. First Sunday of every month, 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.
crochet 101: Learn the most basic and essential stitches of crochet. You will then follow a written crochet pattern to make a basic granny square. 2nd Sunday of every month, 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.

classes that'll cost you socks $40: Develop the superpowers required to knit a sock: knitting in the round on double pointed needles, turning a heel, and kitchener stitch. Sunday, April 13th, 1 - 4 p.m. ------- Pentapus!!! $40: Want to make toys, but bored by the average bear? Pentapus is a cuddly critter that makes a fun, quick knit. Based on the comic character by Robert Goodin, Pentapus is a great gift for kids of all ages. In this class you'll learn how to make a toy that stands on its own five feet and the secret to making his flat-top hat. Fiberfill included in class price. Original pattern and class by Georgene Smith. Saturday, April 19th, 1 - 4 p.m. ------- recycled plastic knitting $40: Do you love to shop almost as much as you love to knit? This poses a problem: what to do with all the plastic bags you acquire in your retail journeys? This class will show how to take ordinary plastic bags and create fun sustainable knitting materials. You’ll love the look that plastic produces plus it is waterproof and quite durable. What a fabulous gift this knitted purse would make: fashionable and good for the environment! Sunday, April 20th, 1 - 4 p.m. ------- Crocheted Scrap Hobo $20: Spring Cleaning!!! Tis the season to weed through your stash and make stuff! This crocheted hobo bag is great for beginners. Using a large crochet hook and various random pairings of yarn ends, you can whip this up in a few hours. Saturday, May 3rd, 12 - 2 p.m. ------- crocheted bikini $60: Create a sexy crocheted bikini based on your size and shape. Saturdays, May 24th, 31st, and June 7th, 12 - 2 p.m.

* the fine print** Class price does not include materials unless otherwise noted. Space in class can only be reserved with payment. If you cannot make it to the class, please notify us three days in advance and you will be refunded the price. Otherwise you will have a store credit equal to the value of the class which you can apply towards another class or merchandise. If the class is cancelled for some reason, you will be refunded the total amount. To reserve your space in a free class, just call ahead. Yarn purchased towards a class that costs money receives a 15% discount. Yarn purchased for a charity knitting class receives a 40% discount. Classes subject to change.
